About the Future Creation Human Resources System (J-Find)



The Future Creation Human Resources System started in April 2023. As a result, if graduates of excellent overseas universities are looking for a job or preparing to start a business in Japan, they will be granted a status of residence of Specified Activities as Future Creation Human Resources, and will be able to stay in Japan for up to two years. Furthermore, it has been made possible to work to supplement the funds necessary to carry out the above activities.

(※The applicable universities are designated by the regulations of the Immigration Control Act.)




Those eligible for J-Skip must meet all of the following requirements 1 to 3 below.

1.対象の大学(Universities recognized as eligible for J-Find)


 Graduated from a university ranked within the top 100 in two or more of the three world university rankings listed below. Alternatively, the applicant must have completed a graduate program at the university and received a degree or professional degree.




2.卒業後の年数(Limit on number of years after graduating from university)


The applicant must have graduated from the university listed above or completed a graduate program at the target university and been awarded a degree or professional degree within 5 years.


3.生計維持費(Minimum amount to have as living expenses)


At the time of application, the applicant must have at least 200,000yen in saving to cover his or her living expenses during the initial period of stay.


配偶者・子の帯同について(Regarding bringing spouse and children to Japan)


The spouse and children supported by the applicant will be granted Specified Activity Status of residence and will be able to accompany them to Japan. Please note that, if your spouse and children want to work, you will not be allowed to do so unless you obtain permission to engage in activities other than that permitted under the status of residence previously granted.
